What Edible Flowers are in Season in June

Brightly coloured edible flowers in a cardboard punnet

June is the month when the season really starts for many of our flowers as we move towards warmer weather (especially at night). Lots of our key flowers such as cornflowers, snapdragons, calendula, alyssum and candytuff are all in their prime this month.

There are some real big hitters coming into bloom as well, with peonies and roses starting to feature. Roses will continue to flower through to September, although some of our varieties are only available in early summer. ‘Grandma’s rose’ (taken from a cutting from Hannah’s great-grandmother’s house) only flowers once and so if you want these delicate tiny roses get in quickly.

Peonies are only really in season for a few weeks, so we make sure they are included in as many cake topper punnets as possible.

We can provide edible flowers in almost any colour pallet in June but we find that there is lots of demand for bright coloured mixes as well pink edible flowers and whites for floral weddings cakes.
